Биография

Группа His Infernal Majesty была основана в 1991 году в Хельсинки вокалистом Вилле Вало (Ville Valo), гитаристом Микко Линдстрёмом (Mikko Lindström) и басистом Микко Пааненом (Mikko Paananen). Изначально ансамбль исполнял кавер-версии песен Black Sabbath и KISS, любимых групп Вало. Название группы и аббревиатура было отчасти вдохновлено слухами (заведомо ложными) о том, что Kiss расшифровывается как Knights In Satan Service. В первые годы в группе произошли изменения состава на время военной службы её участников, но трое основателей остаются в ней по сей день.
